As college students,we know that morning classes are a struggle as we needed to wake up early in the morning to get ready for the class ( the struggle of a student). Due to that,we tend to skip our breakfast as we have limited time to prepare our breakfast. However, we know that breakfast is so important to our body as it helps to boost our energy and nutrients we needed to kick start the day. If breakfast is skipped, we may feel tired which causes us to lose our concentration during lectures (then what is the point of going to the lecture, right?).
Hence, to kick start my day, I would always make a fruit smoothie which contains full of nutrition which can boost up my energy to help sustain my energy for rest of the day. The smoothie that I will be sharing here is Mixed Berries Banana Smoothie. They are so easy to prepare with only a few ingredients needed and power packed with the nutrients needed. Do you know that consumption of blueberries and strawberries has a protective effect on brain function and blueberries also have been shown to improve memory? This is so important to us, students as we prepare us for classes or exams. Also, bananas are a healthy source of fiber, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and various antioxidants. Now, let’s move straight into preparing this glass of yummy goodness!
Ingredients per serving:
- 1 banana
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 3 large strawberries with stem removed
- 5 ice cubes
Overall, all we needed to do are mixing all the ingredients using a blender which only takes approximately 5 minutes to serve ! This smoothie will definitely brighten up your mood especially in the early morning as it tasted so good and refreshing ! Say goodbye to empty stomachs and hello to this smoothie! You can pour the smoothie into your bottle, or a glass jar to make it look even prettier and bring it along to your university to enjoy. I bet all your friends will be jealous of you 🙂
